チェスのルール
王たちのゲーム——7種の盤で、2Dでも3Dでも。
チェスは64マスのゲームです。片側16の駒、その間に6通りの動き、そして目的はただひとつ——相手のキングを追い詰めること。3段階のエンジンとオフラインで、あるいは時計付きのオンライン対戦で、7種の盤のどれででも、平らなままでも3Dに起こしても指せます。
チェスの遊び方
コンピュータと対戦
手番と強さ——Easy、Medium、Hard——を選んでチェスをオフラインで。対局はブラウザに、中断したままの形で残ります。
オンラインで、時計付き
盤を作り、色を選び、1分から60分の時計を——あるいは時計なしを——設定してコードを共有。時計は手番の側だけが進みます。
2Dでも3Dでも
盤を寝かせても、起こしても。駒はそれぞれのマスに立ち上がり、対局の途中でも切り替えられます。
7種の盤、7種の駒
クラシックのフェルト、ルネサンスの大理石、石器時代の砂岩、氷河、ジュラ紀の琥珀、潮だまり、中世の石室——プレイ中に変更できます。
🎯 目的
相手のキングをチェックメイトにすること——どの合法手でもチェックから逃れられないように攻めます。勝てない局面でも引き分けにはできますし、時計付きの対局では時間を切らした側が負けです。
🎲 チェスの準備
- 盤は8×8。各自から見て右下が明るいマスになるように置きます。
- 最奥の段は左から、ルーク、ナイト、ビショップ、クイーン、キング、ビショップ、ナイト、ルーク——クイーンは自分と同じ色のマスに。
- その手前の段は8つのポーンで埋まります。
- 手番とエンジンの強さ——Easy、Medium、Hard——を選ぶか、オンラインの盤を作って時計を設定します。先手は白です。
▶ チェスの遊び方
- ポーンはまっすぐ1マス前へ、初期位置からは2マス進み、取るときは斜め前に1マスです。
- ナイトはL字——一方向に2マス、横に1マス——に動き、間にある駒を飛び越えられる唯一の駒です。
- ビショップは斜めに何マスでも、ルークは縦横に、クイーンはその両方に動きます。
- キングは全方向に1マスずつ動き、利きのあるマスには決して入れません。
- キャスリングは1局に1度。動いていないキングが、動いていないルークの方へ2マス動き、ルークがその反対側へ回り込みます。チェックから・チェックを通って・チェックへは行えず、間に駒があってもできません。
- アンパッサン：自分のポーンの横を2マス進んだばかりの相手ポーンを、1マスしか進まなかったかのように取れます——その直後の1手にかぎります。
- 最奥の段に達したポーンは昇格し、ルーク・ビショップ・ナイトを選ばないかぎりクイーンになります。
- チェックされたキングはただちに逃れなければなりません——動くか、攻めている駒を取るか、間に駒を置くかです。
📖 詳しいガイド
The six pieces, at a glance
- Pawn — one square forward, two on its first move, captures diagonally. It never moves backwards, which is why a pawn move can never be undone.
- Knight — the L-shaped jump. It is the piece that gets into a crowded position, and the piece beginners lose most often.
- Bishop — a diagonal, for the whole game the colour it started on. A pair of bishops covering both colours is worth keeping.
- Rook — ranks and files. Rooks want open lines, and they want to be behind passed pawns.
- Queen — rook and bishop in one. Strong, and easily chased around by lesser pieces if she comes out too early.
- King — one square in any direction, and the piece the whole game is about.
The three moves that surprise people
- Castling is a king move, not a rook move: pick up the king and move it two squares, and the rook follows on its own.
- You may castle on either side — short, towards the nearer rook, or long, towards the far one.
- En passant only ever happens immediately. Play another move first and the chance is gone.
- Promotion is not limited to a queen you have already lost: a board with two, three or nine queens on it is legal.
How a game ends
- Checkmate — the king is in check and nothing gets it out.
- Stalemate — the side to move has no legal move at all and is not in check. It is a draw, and it is how a lost game is often saved.
- Threefold repetition — the same position, with the same side to move and the same rights, for a third time.
- The fifty-move rule — fifty moves by each side with no capture and no pawn move.
- Insufficient material — king against king, or king and a single bishop or knight, cannot mate.
Offline, online and the clock
- Offline you pick your colour and the engine’s level, and the game is kept in your browser: close the tab and come back to the same position.
- Undo takes back your move and the engine’s reply.
- Online you create a board, choose White, Black or a random draw, set a clock from one to sixty minutes — or no clock — and share the code or an invite link.
- Only the clock of the side to move runs. A clock that runs out loses the game.
- A finished online board is gone when it ends; an old link will not reopen it.
Boards and pieces
- Seven boards: the classic felt, Renaissance marble, Stone Age sandstone, Ice Age glacier, Jurassic amber, a Crustacean tide pool and a medieval stone chamber.
- Each board brings a piece set of its own, and any set will play on any board.
- The 2D/3D switch tilts the board away from you and stands every piece up on its square.
- All three — board, pieces and 2D/3D — can be changed in the middle of a game, and the position stays exactly as it was.
🏁 チェスの勝ち方
チェックメイトで勝ちです。引き分けになるのは、ステイルメイト（チェックされていないのに合法手がない）、同一局面3回、取りもポーンの動きもない50手、そしてメイトに足りる駒がない場合。時計付きなら時間を切らした側の負けで、時計は手番の側だけが進みます。
