Easy Standard
Crazy Eights
Match the suit or rank — 8s are always wild.
Crazy Eights is a classic shedding game that inspired Uno. Play a card matching the suit or rank of the top discard; 8s are wild and let you call any suit. First player to empty their hand wins.
🎯 Objective
Be the first to discard all your cards.
🃏 Setup
- Use a standard 52-card deck. Deal 8 cards each (5 for 3+ players).
- Flip one card face-up to start the discard pile; place the draw pile beside it.
▶ How to Play
- On your turn, play one card from your hand onto the discard pile. It must match the current card's suit OR rank.
- If you cannot play, draw cards from the draw pile until you can play or the pile is exhausted (then pass).
- Playing an 8 is always legal — after playing it, name any suit. The next player must match that suit (or play another 8).
- Optional special cards: Q = skip next player; A = reverse direction; 2 = next player draws 2.
- First player to empty their hand wins.
📊 Scoring
The winner scores the deadwood in opponents' hands: 8s = 50 pts, face cards = 10 pts, Aces = 1 pt, others = face value. Play to 200 (or an agreed total).
