Go Fish

Ask, fish, and collect the most books.

👥 2–6 players · Easy difficulty

Go Fish is a classic card game loved by players of all ages. Ask opponents for cards you need, build complete sets of four (books), and collect the most books to win.

🎯 Objective

Collect the most books — complete sets of all 4 cards of the same rank.

🃏 Setup

  1. Use a standard 52-card deck. 2 players: deal 7 cards each. 3–6 players: deal 5 cards each.
  2. Place remaining cards face-down as the "ocean" or "pond."

▶ How to Play

  1. Ask any one opponent for a rank you already hold at least one of (e.g., "Do you have any Kings?").
  2. If they do, they give you ALL cards of that rank and you take another turn.
  3. If not, they say "Go Fish!" — draw one card from the ocean. Your turn ends unless you drew the asked rank.
  4. When you collect all 4 of a rank, place the complete book face-up in front of you.
  5. Play continues until the ocean is empty and no more books can be formed.

📊 Scoring

Player with the most books wins.
